Justin Moorhouse and Victoria Elliott play the landlord and landlady of a northern pub in Jim Cartwright’s tour de force play TWO. Over the course of one evening they embody the characters of 14 of their pub regulars, with love and relationships running as a continuous theme throughout the evening.
It’s hilariously funny, savagely sad, wistful, surprising and magical.
'The Queen of tittle-tattle'
'Out of the cellar and into the Boxing Ring, That's Me'
'Ting Ting, Tills Away, Round bleedin' one'
'Will you back off for once'
Cartwright’s previous successes include ROAD and THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE, both staged to huge acclaim at the Royal Exchange. Award-winning author Jim Cartwright takes the ordinary and elevates it into something extraordinary.
For this production, we’re delighted to welcome actor and comedian Justin Moorhouse back to the Royal Exchange stage, after he warmed our hearts last year in our Christmas production of ZACK. (‘Justin Moorhouse brings real HEART AND SOUL to the role’ whatsonstage.com). He’s joined by the brilliant Victoria Elliott – last seen at the Royal Exchange as Audrey in AS YOU LIKE IT. They’re both reunited with Greg Hersov – director of both ZACK and AS YOU LIKE IT - and who’s had a long association with Jim Cartwright.
