WORD-IN-PROGRESS is a series of lunchtime readings, presenting two brand new plays making their first appearance in front of a live audience. This is your chance to be involved in the next stage of their development by telling us what you think.
What do we need to sustain us?
Food, Love, Money, Dreams, Ambition or all of the above?
Set in a samosa factory in the North of England, the story delves into the lives of the owners and the workers as they try to realise their ambitions, run away from their ambitions, run away from their nightmares and pursue the 'British Dream'.
SUSTENANCE is written by Ishy Din - the 2012 Pearson Writer in Residence at the Royal Exchange Theatre. His previous play, SNOOKERED (produced by Tamasha Theatre Company) recently toured the UK to critical acclaim.
Performing in SUSTENANCE is:
Marc Anwar (RASUL KHAN) - Marc has recently finished filming CAPTAIN PHILLIP with Tom Hanks, which is due to be released in 2013.
