mind. Ms Garnett handles the difficult transition from innocent to victim with verve and
an endearing charm...Charles Dale's dairyman Crick is a superb piece of country
entertainment, and Robert Hands, as the awfully inept Angel Clare is irritatingly
convincing...once again the Royal Exchange set, music and lighting add a convincing touch
of Wessex warmth.'
