'With its desperately seeking gay hero, transvestite with Aids, with its nudity, graphic sex scenes and strong language, this isn't the sort of evening that will attract the usual middle-brow, middle-class, middle-aged crowd that...make up the bulk of today's theatre audiences. I do hope, however, that it does pull in those who will appreciate it, for it proves...that theatre can still be interesting and exciting and relevant...It is sharp, funny, harrowing and thought-provoking, and the cast and production do it full justice.'
