Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf
14 March 2007 to 14 April 2007
Royal Exchange Theatre

“I cry alllll the time; but deep inside, so no one can see me. I cry all the time. And Georgie cries all the time, too. We both cry all the time, and then, what we do, we cry, and we take our tears, and we put ‘em in the ice box, in the goddamn ice trays until they’re all frozen … we put them … in our … drinks.”
1962 – America is on the brink of a missile crisis as recently-elected President Kennedy and his wife have the world spellbound. On an east coast campus another couple, George and Martha, invite unsuspecting guests back for a night-cap and dangerous games.

The most intense iconic 20th Century battle of the sexes will exhaust, amuse and shock you, leaving you with a huge question mark over the meaning of love.
