HENRY V
05 September 2007 to 20 October 2007
Royal Exchange Theatre

'If the cause be not good, the king himself hath a heavy reckoning to make...'
Seated on a throne his father stole, surrounded by advisors with their own agenda and haunted by ghosts of his own, how can a young leader prove his worth to his people, his government and even himself?

With little justification and certain bloodshed, the king leads his country to war.

HENRY V

Shakespeare's epic play comes to the stage of the Royal Exchange, striking a contemporary chord about what it means to be English, the nature of leadership and the morality of war.

Brought to you by the same team who created the award winning MIRANDOLINA in Summer 2006, Jonathan Munby returns to the Exchange to direct this extraordinary journey into adulthood, with rising star Elliot Cowan as Henry.
