JONAH AND OTTO
12 March 2008
to 05 April 2008
The Studio
Jonah (26) has a chance encounter with Otto (62) in a walled garden on a
warm summer's evening. The moon is full. On parting, neither will
ever feel quite the same again.
JONAH AND OTTO is a beautiful evocation of a fleeting moment of
connection between two very different men. The play is a humane, funny
and ultimately haunting exploration of what it is to be male and to be
quintessentially English.
Acclaimed actor Ian McDiarmid, makes a rare stage appearance as Otto. Ian was an Associate Artistic Director for the Royal Exchange from 1986 to 1988, as well as appearing in many films including STAR WARS and SLEEPY HOLLOW. He is joined by Andrew Sheridan as Jonah.
