MACBETH

‘The war is over, the victory complete. But for Macbeth, the triumphant forces’ most fearsome warrior, the battle for the throne is only just beginning – and she’ll stop at nothing to take the crown.’

MACBETH arrives on our stage in September 2020 and we are supplementing it’s run with a selection of production specific workshops exclusively bookable for school groups.

Learn how to deliver and perform the works of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth as we strip back Shakespeare’s most chilling thriller and learn how the characters interact with each other.

Learning Objectives:
1) To develop an understanding of Shakespearian language
2) To perform a small segment of text
3) To analyse the characters intentions in specific scenes

WUTHERING HEIGHTS

‘When two souls collide, the impact can resonate for all eternity. So it was, and so it is, with Heathcliff and Cathy – but if they can’t be together, the world that struggles to contain them will simply shatter and burn…’

Exploring the imagination of Emily Bronte in two of the most famous literary characters every written. Bryony Shanahan's production of the classic will bring a fresh and vibrant take to Bronte’s writing, and this workshop will explore how we can physicalise this on stage and portray the wildness of the plays setting. 

Learning Objectives:

  • To physicalise and perform some extracts of Bronte’s most famous work.
  • To explore the setting and how this influences the action on stage.
  • To delve deeper into the characterisation of Heathcliff and Cathy.
