A STATEMENT FROM OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM: ROYAL EXCHANGE THEATRE CLOSES ITS STAGES UNTIL AUTUMN 2020

From drop-in sessions to ten week courses, the Children’s Company provides a fun space for children of all abilities aged 5-13.

The Children’s Company is a great way to explore imagination and creativity through drama games and exercises, as well as improving confidence, communication skills, team-work and making new friends in an exciting theatre.

The following groups are available:

PLAY

PLAY is for ages 5 - 10 years old and offers drop-in sessions for those who can’t commit to regular weekly activity. Book in advance to guarantee a place or turn up on the day. 

PLAY is based on a donation scheme. From 10p to £10, turn up on the day and give your fees to the workshop facilitator.

MAKE

• MAKE 1: 5 – 7 year olds. 12 noon - 1pm. £50 per 10 week term.

• MAKE 2: 8 – 10 year olds. 1.30pm - 2.30pm. £50 per 10 week term.

• MAKE 3: 11 – 13 year olds. 2.45pm - 4.45pm. £75 per 10 weeks term.

TRAIN

A fun week-long holiday course designed to help your child develop their creativity, learn new skills and work in a group to create a short piece of theatre, while also wokring towards getting their Explore Arts Award Certificate.

Booking for TRAIN: ages 11 - 13, is now open for the dates Tuesday 14 April - Saturday 18 April 2020.

Through the week they'll be tasked with learning new skills and applying those new skills, in small groups, to create a perfromance that they will present, o demonstrate their hard work from the week. They'll also receive an Explore Arts Award certificate they can keep to show off their hard work alongside a recorded portfolio of what they did in the week!
This 5 day project will culminate in a show/sharing for friends and family members or the participants on the Saturday.

Arts Pot funding is available to provide financial support for anyone who needs it. This funding can be used to help cover termly fees, and the cost of travel to and from the Theatre. We fundraise for the Arts Pot every year and it is there for anyone who needs it! Asking for Arts Pot support will not affect your child’s membership.
