This Autumn the Royal Exchange Children’s Company will be launching with an explosion of activity for children of all abilities aged 5-13.

From drop-in sessions to ten week courses, the Children’s Company will provide a fun space for your child to make and play. Participants will explore imagination and creativity through drama games and exercises.

The Children’s Company is a great way to improve confidence, communication skills and team-work as well as making new friends in an exciting theatre.

The following groups are available:

• PLAY: 5 – 10 year olds. PLAY offers drop-in sessions for those who can’t commit to regular weekly activity.
• MAKE 1: 5 – 7 year olds
• MAKE 2: 8 – 10 year olds
• MAKE 3: 11 – 13 year olds

PLAY is based on a Pay What You Can pricing scheme. From 10p to £10, turn up on the day and give your fees to the workshop facilitator.

MAKE 1, 2 and 3 are priced at £75 per term.

Arts Pot funding is available to provide financial support for anyone who needs it. This funding can be used to help cover termly fees, and the cost of travel to and from the Theatre. We fundraise for the Arts Pot every year and it is there for anyone who needs it! Asking for Arts Pot support will not affect your child’s membership. You can request the Arts Pot once we have offered your child a place in the Children’s Company.

There will also be the opportunity during school holidays to attend week long courses where your child can make their very own work and share it with a live audience!

More information including Autumn term dates will be available here in the coming months. Please sign up to our mailing list for updates about when and how to join.
