By taking part in regular weekly sessions, your child will work as part of a group to develop and create. The workshops are designed to help them to build their confidence, make new friends and learn all about storytelling as part of a team.
Your child will be working with professional theatre makers to create their own work within these sessions.
MAKE sessions take place on Sundays over the following times depending on age:
MAKE 1: 5-7 year olds, 12.00pm – 1.00pm. £50 per 10 week term.
MAKE 2: 8-10 year olds, 1.30pm – 2.30pm. £50 per 10 week term.
MAKE 3: 11-13 year olds, 2.45pm – 4.45pm. £75 per 10 weeks term.
Arts Pot funding is available to provide financial support for anyone who needs it on the MAKE courses.This funding can be used to help cover termly fees, and the cost of travel to and from the Theatre. We fundraise for the Arts Pot every year and it is there for anyone who needs it! Asking for Arts Pot support will not affect your child’s membership. Download the Arts Pot Application Form here.

PLAY - FOR CHILDREN AGED 5 - 10
22 September 2019 - 1 December 2019 in the Front Room or Rehearsal Room
In this 45-minute weekly drop in session, your child will be exploring with professional theatre-makers and getting involved in different games and activities each week.
PLAY is based on a donation scheme - from 10p to £10, donate what you can when at the session.

DISCOVER IN A DAY - FOR CHILDREN AGED 5-7
A brand new session to encourage your child’s creative thinking in a safe and social space!
Participants aged 5-7 will have the chance to watch our Christmas production of DUCKLINGS in The Studio at the Royal Exchange Theatre (show starts 10.30am)
After watching the play, the children will work together with professional theatre makers to create a play in a day in response to the festive re-imagining of the ugly duckling!
During the day, the children will play games, work in teams on drama exercises and talk about the play they have scene.
There will also be a sharing at the end of the day for friends and family members to attend.
