A programme of stand-alone taster workshops for everyone over 60 who wants to stay active and take part in practical drama activities.

It’s an opportunity to try out new ways of relating to other people in a very structured way. So it’s new ways of relating, and trying out different ideas which are related in some way to theatre. But it’s not about going and putting on a performance, not at all. It’s much more around the edges of performance I suppose, and some of the techniques you might use.

Elders Monthly sessions are designed to give people a fun introduction to theatre with a particular focus on performance. It’s a very safe environment and no-one is thrown in at the deep end. It’s a chance to learn through some practice about different theatre techniques and how actors in particular might prepare to work.

Participants can attend as many sessions as they wish throughout the year.

Due to demand, Elders Monthly workshops now take place twice a month. However, sessions are repeated so please only book onto one session as this will allow more people to take part.
