Look up as you enter from our St Ann’s Square entrance and you will notice our mezzanine level gallery. This space has regularly changing exhibitions by some of the region’s best artists and makers.

The Mezzanine Gallery opened in October 2008 and has since hosted over 50 exhibitions, ranging from international works of art to local photographs taken by up-and-coming photographers.

Our exhibitions have included working with playwright Brad Fraser, the V&A Museum, the Manchester's Jewellers' Network, award-winning photographer Howard Barlow, the critically-acclaimed Simon Annand, the vanguard of Jazz photography William Ellis, Manchester Children's Services, Manchester Pride, the Scandinavian arts festival NICE, the Manchester School of Art, the Manchester Science Festival and Oxfam.

It is free to view and can be accessed from the staircase opposite the Box Office and the lift at St Ann's Square.
