HOW THEATRE IS MADE

This interesting workshop will de-mystify the behind the scenes production process for your students with in-depth discussions with members of our production departments. Through practical exercises, students will discover how we produce theatre at the Royal Exchange whilst highlighting creative career pathways in the theatre industry.

ACTING IN THE ROUND

This fun and energetic session will introduce your students to the craft of acting and working in the round. Led by one of our highlight experienced theatre practitioners, students will have the opportunity to perform on our unique stage and will have loads of acting tips to take back to school.

WRITING IN THE ROUND

This dynamic workshop will use a range of short games and writing exercises to introduce your students to the practical skills of writing a script. Working with a professional playwright, students will have the opportunity to try out script ideas, creating authentic dialogue and using stage directions.

DEVISING IN THE ROUND

Using the Royal Exchange as a stimulus, this fun and creative session will leave students with a toolkit of exercises and techniques for creating and developing a devised piece of work from a stimuli back in the classroom.

EXPLORE WORKSHOPS
