If you pinned me against a wall, I'd probably admit to being a liberal. Of course, pinning me against a wall is exactly what I'd expect from someone like you.
Shy Tories, UKIP swing voters, misleading pre-election polls. Following on from the (possibly) surprising results of the recent general election, Chris Thorpe’s brand new show is a timely investigation about the way we choose to see only the evidence that proves we’re right.
Working with research into the phenomenon of confirmation bias, Confirmation is an attempt to have an honourable dialogue, real and imagined, with political extremism. To find out how we believe what we believe, and how we can end up so far apart.
A 2014 Fringe First award-winning show.
"Confirmation is a show that lets nobody off the hook: not us, and definitely not Thorpe"
The Guardian ★★★★
"Thorpe and director Rachel Chavkin energetically take a liberal Fringe audience to the edge of the abyss of belief and hang them over the side in a conversation for our times."
The Independent ★★★★
