“We’re cosmic scallies, we dance on the off-beat, we’re wonky shopping trollies, we’re forgotten and trod on, we’re gravy stained and piss sodden…”

Shaun and Dent grew up best friends on a council estate in Skelmersdale – a new town built on a utopian dream but now an abandoned reality. Dent tried to leave Skem, full of ambition, but ten years later she’s back. All she wants to do now is hide away and watch daytime TV – but then Shaun arrives…

Directed by new Associate Artistic Director Amit Sharma, this is a fresh new show from award-winning writer, comedian and Write to Play graduate Jackie Hagan. COSMIC SCALLIES is a funny, angry, touching play about class, welfare, and the importance of friendship in times of adversity.
