ROCKETS AND BLUE LIGHTS IS PART OF THE LOCKDOWN THEATRE FESTIVAL
We’re thrilled that our production of Winsome Pinnock’s powerful new play ROCKETS AND BLUE LIGHTS will be aired on BBC Radio as part of the LOCKDOWN Theatre Festival launch weekend on 13 & 14 June.
LOCKDOWN Theatre Festival was created by actor Bertie Carvel in response to the closure of theatres amid the coronavirus crisis. Four productions from theatres across the country will be broadcast as part of BBC Arts’ Culture in Quarantine initiative.
“I want to create a cultural snapshot for posterity, because who knows what the future holds? Theatres up and down the country are facing an existential crisis. If I can find a way, every single production that has been forced off the stage because of the lockdown will find a new platform at this festival!”

BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION
The organisers of Lockdown Theatre Festival invite you to be part of a big online public conversation about the future of theatre in the aftermath of COVID-19. They’re inviting everyone from actors to audiences, stage managers to administrator to share a vision for the future of theatre post-Covid. Share a simple social media post, a photo or a film but make sure to include the hashtag #LockdownTheatreSymposium.
The plays were recorded in isolation using innovative technological solutions, produced by independent production company Reduced Listening in partnership with Lockdown Theatre, as part of the BBC’s Culture In Quarantine initiative.
