The year is 2017. You have wandered into the Royal Exchange Theatre expecting...a tour? A coffee? A piece of theatre?

You are approached by a figure of uncertain motivation who explains that there are dark forces at work. It is down to you to prevent or enable the next turn of the wheel. What do you do?

Power To The North is a vibrant, challenging, empowering and inventive piece of immersive theatre. Inspired by roleplay gaming and choose-your-own-adventure stories, Knaïve Theatre has teamed up with Tim Foley (High Tide and Channel 4 Young Writer) to explore the meaning of responsibility in a post-Brexit Britain. What will you do when faced with dark secrets in the bowels of the Royal Exchange Theatre? Power To The North builds on the experiments of Dreamspeaker and Save The Soul Of The Northern Powerhouse.

The Open Exchange has been generously supported by The Leche Trust and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
