Too Much Information is an audio walk around the streets of Manchester, based on a series of frank and funny conversations between a group of young people and a group of over 60s.

During this 45 minute walk, you will use a supplied smartphone to find audio recordings of secrets and intimate moments hidden about the city, set to a score by Martyn Ware of The Human League and Heaven 17 fame.

Too Much Information is a new work by Blast Theory with a specially composed score by Martyn Ware. It is created in partnership with the Royal Exchange Theatre's Truth About Youth programme, supported by the The Co-operative Foundation. It is presented as part of FutureEverything 2015.

    Audience members should arrive at the Royal Exchange Theatre at their given performance time and go to the Blast Theory welcome desk in the Great Hall.

    At the desk you will be given a set of headphones and an audio device which you will use to navigate the piece.

    You will set off unguided into the area imediately around the Royal Exchange Theatre. Here, using your device, you will be able to listen to a range of audio snippets and conversations from the project.

    Once finished you will return to the Royal Exchange Theatre to return your headphones and audio device and have the option of a complimentary tea or coffee to discuss the piece with the creators.
