Launching this Autumn, Flying Saucers is an out-of-this-world Sunday programme for families and children. Free events and workshops will be scheduled on Sundays throughout the year, including explorer trails and tours of the Great Hall, Hard Hat Sundays and entertainment for all the family - see below for more information, times, dates and how to book.
All workshops are FREE and suitable for under 11s. Some are ticketed and it’s a good idea to book in advance as they’re really popular.
Alongside the free events, why not join our friendly Flying Saucer Drama Clubs for children aged 5 – 7 and 8 – 11. Season 1 begins Sunday 21 September - Sunday 7 December (excluding Half Term 26 October and 2 November).
Working with a professional theatre maker, you will play games, make new friends and have a go at creating your own plays to perform at the Royal Exchange.
Don’t forget the Royal Exchange Great Hall has:
- Easily access for prams and pushchairs via the lift in St Ann’s Square
- A Family Friendly environment, with a big space, where small people can enjoy roaming around.
- Free Theatre Explorer Bags available from the Information Point, with lighting gels, fabrics, objects and activity cards for children aged 3- 7 to begin exploring our building.
