Come and be part of a joyful, intergenerational choir bringing a brand new community anthem to life! #Workshop
Led by powerhouse vocalist Rachel McFarlane, this is your chance to rehearse and perform an original song co-written during the Local Exchange Festival.
You’ll learn uplifting harmonies, connect with others through music, and help premiere a song that celebrates unity and belonging. Open to all levels – there’s no auditions, just energy and heart.
Whether you’ve sung in choirs before or it’s your first time, your voice matters. Raise it with us on stage at the festival finale!
When?
Workshop 1 – Saturday 16 August, 3.30pm – 4.30pm
Workshop 2 – Sunday 17 August, 4.00pm – 5.00pm
Performance – Sunday 17 August, 7.30pm (following the performance of Stories of Us)
The aim is for participants to attend both workshops to learn the song and create the choir, before it is performed following the second workshop.
If you are also interested in helping to create the song, please sign up here for the FREE workshops.
These are free workshops, suitable for everyone aged 8+.
*Please note that any participants under 14 must be accompanied throughout.
These workshops are ticketed (see below for dates and times). If the event is sold out, please feel free to come along as we have several walk-up tickets available on the day.
