Here's the full cast of ROMEO & JULIET, joined by our supernumeraries who are graduates from our Elders Company, Young Company, as well as ambassadors from our community programme, Local Exchange.

Rehearsals with the Supernumerary Company for ROMEO & JULIET are underway, and I don’t know about you but now I want to be part of the chorus too!

So, how did the Supernumerary Company actually come together? Director, Nicholai La Barrie, wanted to make this about Manchester, so a call out went to all of our graduate Young Company and Elders Company, as well as our Ambassadors. Those who expressed their interest were then invited to come and do a little audition and that’s how our 16 supernumeraries came together.

Of course, there are a lot of Mancunians in the full cast and Conor Glean, our Romeo, was actually a community chorus here at the Royal Exchange Theatre, in the production of Scuttlers in 2015. Hear his journey to the role here in an interview with Jsky on BBC Radio Manchester.

The countdown to 20 October 20 is already starting and we just can’t wait to see everyone on stage.
