Here at the Royal Exchange Theatre, we tell and share amazing stories, craft exceptional theatre, support early career creatives and engage with our local communities.

But we can’t do all of this without you. Every Membership plays a pivotal role in supporting the work we do on and off stage, from creating jaw dropping theatrical experiences, to supporting new writing and commissions that reach new audiences.

Our Members help us achieve incredible things:

  • Each year the Royal Exchange Theatre welcomes over 100,000 people to see our work in Manchester and across the UK.
  • We engage with 6,000 people per year through our ambitious and far-reaching engagement programme.
  • Through the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting, the Royal Exchange Theatre has produced 17 world premiere plays across the last 20 years.
  • 3,000 students engage with the Royal Exchange Theatre every year through our school’s programme.
  • Since the inception of the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2005, 26 winning plays have been staged in 39 venues across the UK.
