Play-reading session - you can read a part, join the discussion, or simply listen
Led by a professional facilitator, together we read a play and discuss our responses to it. No experience is necessary. The play we read is somehow linked to what’s on our main stage (although you don’t need to have seen the show to join in).
There are three walk up spaces at every session and spaces sometime become available to book online due to cancellations.
Here’s the play’s we’re looking at coming up:
Mon 15 Dec – We’ve got 2 tales on offer for you as a special Christmas treat! You can read THE FLICK by Annie Baker with Imogen Ashby or THE BALLAD OF SWEENY TODD: DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET with Kirk James – the choice is yours!
Mon 2 Feb – We’ll be looking at Andrea Dunbar’s cult classic RITA, SUE AND BOB TOO which was described as “Thatcher’s Britain with her knickers down“!
Mon 2 March – The wonderful Tori Burgess will be guiding us through Clint Dyer & Roy Williams trilogy DEATH OF ENGLAND as we navigate the joys and challenges of what it means to be British in 2024.
