Archive recording available for two weeks

To mark the final two weeks of Women’s History Month and to celebrate its 2021 OnComm Award for the best-recorded show, Graeae Theatre Company and the Royal Exchange Theatre will be making the recording of their co-production of THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA available to watch on the Exchange’s YouTube Channel for free from 12pm on Monday 22 March to Monday 5 April 2021, 6pm.

Premiering at the Royal Exchange Theatre in 2017, this production of Federico Garcia Lorca’s darkly comic tragedy which explores female identity, sexuality, and power was created with an all-female Deaf and disabled cast and creative team. Directed by Graeae’s Artistic Director Jenny Sealey and translated by Jo Clifford, the cast of this co-production included Natalie Amber, Hermon Berhane, Chloë Clarke, Philippa Cole, Kellan Frankland, Paddy Glynn, Alison Halstead, Kathryn Hunter, Nadia Nadarajah, EJ Raymond, and Freddie Stabb. And Designer Liz Ascroft, Lighting Designer Johanna Town, Sound Designer Carolyn Downing, and Fight Director Alison De Burgh made up the rest of the creative team.
