LOVE LETTERS FROM BLACKPOOL
- 21 July 2017
- The Studio
Love Letters from Blackpool is a theatre show that uses comedy, songs and recorded interviews from individuals from Blackpool to tell the story of love in this seaside town.
This group has looked at the science, psychology, sociology and history of love and how it has changed over the years. Blackpool like many seaside locations has its own set of rules and people from all over the country went there to find holiday romances.
Recorded interviews have been woven together with the artists own experiences of Blackpool growing up there.
A partly autobiographical comedy show about love and how the nation finds it.
'Plain and simple, she's just funny.' Terry Alderton
'A blitheness and cheeriness that makes it difficult not to laugh along with.' Islington Now
The Open Exchange has been generously supported by The Leche Trust and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
