Discuss, debate and dissect productions with fellow audience members
How might one person affect a wider social movement, and do individuals feel they have a political voice? Is political activism dead? What is more powerful – a single voice or the collective voice of a community?
Explore the place that politics and activism have in the 21st Century with panellists Faiza Shaheen, Director of the Centre for Labour and Social Studies, Maria Munir - award-winning activist, public speaker and writer, Lauren Stocks - the Manchester schoolgirl who become the talk of the Labour party conference after giving an impassioned speech about education that went viral, and Tom Ross-Williams - Artistic Director of Populace - a theatre company which re-invigorates political theatre with a sense of inclusivity, vibrancy and optimism.
PLATFORM EVENTS are an opportunity for you to delve deeper into the world and themes of each play, enabling audiences, experts and people with specific interests to enter into a high profile discussion around some of the core questions and issues at the heart of each production..
These Platform Events are in partnership with Manchester University.
