“We wanted to explode the notion of what conventional theatre-making is. We’ve created three new pieces that have been performed inside at the theatre and outside in gardens – the next part of the experiment is to investigate whether these plays work with a digital audience. It’s a low tech way to live stream; we wanted to explore ways the Young Company can make and share their own work in a way that they could recreate again away from the theatre. Theatre comes alive with an audience – but will an audience of computers and phones have the same effect? There’s only one way to find out!” Matt Hassall, Young People's Programme Leader
