What we’ve been up to…
We’ve certainly got a spring in our step, looking forward not only to the Queen’s 90th birthday, but also to the return of ‘Game of Thrones’ on TV. We have some stunning ‘GoT’ costumes for hire, made ‘in-house’, so you can get in to the spirit of things. We’re very excited, too, that we’ll soon have the costumes from our current production of ‘King Lear’: look for images on the theatre’s web pages.
If you have anything planned as a commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, then you may like to know that we have an amazing range of outfits from the theatre’s many other Shakespeare productions. Please contact us to make an appointment.
…and our future plans
We’re involved with an exciting new project, led by Manchester City Art Gallery, called ‘Couture Collective’. Costume Hire manager, Luda Krzak, is part of the pilot group for what sounds like a really innovative new project. We’re guessing that if you’re reading this, you too are interested in all aspects of fashion and costume, so check out the website for more information and details of how to become involved. We’ll keep you posted!
And we’re going to create a new format for future Costume Hire news, in which we will try to give you more of an insight in to our work, who we are and what we do. So watch this space!
