The Christmas markets are in full swing, the trees and lights are up, shoppers crowd the Arndale; children are over-excited, adults exhausted. Yes, it's our favourite time of the year – Christmas!!!

We know that you know all about our fabulous range of costumes and our wonderful service. And maybe you don't think that you can fit in one more thing before Santa calls. But in that strange half-time between Christmas and New Year, why not think of an excuse to give a party, however small, and encourage your guests to dress up? Once you've got your theme, it'll be no trouble to find, choose and fit the outfits if you send everyone to us. Few things at this time of year could be so hassle-free to organise.

We like to think that our costumes are a sort of gift in their own right. Dressing up can provide such pleasure, fun, entertainment , excitement, liberation even. Few people don't feel agreeably different - nay, transformed! - once they don a fabulous dress or a dashing coat and breeches. And it doesn't stop there: the hire includes all the accessories you'll need.

Don't forget, either, that you can give the gift of costume by buying a gift voucher from the theatre which can be used to hire an outfit from us at any time of year.

People who did...
You'll be in excellent company, too. Our recent Christmas hires have included costumes for Noddy Holder as a Dickensian character on 'Songs of Praise' on 6 December. (Catch it on iPlayer if you missed it.) We actually think it's an improvement on some of those Slade outfits he used to wear - but we would say that, wouldn't we?!

And we've enjoyed working again with the BBC on the CBBC panto, this year 'Alice in Wonderland', and also on 'Blue Peter', where we were lucky enough to provide costumes not only for Santa, but also for the Victorian Christmas special from Osborne House on the Isle of Wight.

End of Year Report
Here at Costume Hire we're celebrating our most successful year to date. It's been a fantastic 12 months, during which we've hired out more costumes to more people and more organisations than ever before. The news about our fantastic costumes and legendary customer service seems to be spreading ever more widely, and our new 'Ready-to-go' service, where, for a nominal extra charge, we prepare costumes for organisations so all they have to do is to call and collect them, has really taken off. (For more details see our other website pages).
Many thanks to both our new and our returning customers for their continuing support and custom. We hope that you'll spread the word and help to make us even more successful next year!
