This Autumn /Winter 2018 - 2019 we are reimagining some of our greatest plays and most epic stories.

This season, we take a fresh look at these incredible pieces of drama and ask some important questions about what makes them relevant for us today? What can these plays reveal about who we were, who we are now and where we might want to be in the future?

We are working with a host of fantastic directors, writers and theatre-makers, including Jade Anouka, Elizabeth Freestone, Jeanie O’Hare, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Anna Jordan, Amy Hodge, Chris Thorpe, Sam Pritchard, Raz Shaw and Don Warrington to make original theatre that grapples with concepts of nation, politics, family and identity.

We hope you will join us for an inventive and imaginative season of work here at the Royal Exchange Theatre. And with our flexible season tickets you can see all the shows for a little as £64.40.
