When did you last meet someone who is at a very different point in their life to you?
When did you last spill the beans and have fun sharing some of your most private thoughts and moments?

If this sounds intriguing, then this might be a project you would like to get involved with...

We are looking for 15 people to take part in a new project called TOO MUCH INFORMATION in partnership with Blast Theory (an internationally renowned group of digital artists). Half of the group will be aged 16 – 25 and the other half will be over 60. We want to find people who would like to have conversations with each other about their lives, about relationships and about secrets, and who are interested in exploring how innovative digital technology can bring these conversations to life.

What will I be doing?
You will take part in a series of storytelling and digital workshops, finding ways to talk about your own lives together in ways that feel right to you – be that funny or serious or in other ways. There will be opportunities to have discussions, make interviews, create ideas, play with audio recording and new innovative digital technology and take part in creative writing activities. Following the workshops, your conversations will be turned into an audio walk experience in the city for members of the public. During the walk, audience members will use a smartphone to find your audio recordings which will be hidden about the city centre.

What do I need to commit to?
You will need to be available to attend workshops on the following dates:

Saturday 7 February, 11am - 5pm
Sunday 8 February, 11am - 5pm
Saturday 14 February, 11am - 5pm
Sunday 15 February, 11am - 5pm
Saturday 21 February, 11am - 5pm
Sunday 22 February, 11am - 5pm

What’s in it for me?!
In exchange for your stories and your conversations, this project will offer you new skills and opportunities to find different ways to express yourself, interact with and meet new people, and have fun!It is also a chance to work with a professional group of artists’ who have been making cutting edge artworks since 1991.
