Manchester celebrated a wonderful evening of the city's creative activity, and what an amazing opportunity to win not just one award, but two awards !

Last week, we took home two very special awards:

Best Business Partnership: The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting
Made in Manchester: Cold Chips and Pick N Mix by Sonia Jalay, Royal Exchange Theatre

Best Business Partnership Award with Bruntwood

Our incredible partnership with Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting won us Best Business Partnership.

Recognised as a launchpad for some of the country’s most respected and produced playwrights and screenwriters, The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting is a genuine endeavour to discover new stories and help playwrights develop their craft, providing everybody and anybody with the opportunity to write a play. By 6 June 2022, more than 1,900 writers had bravely submitted a play for consideration.

Made In Manchester award with Local Exchange, Cheetham Hill Ambassadors

Our Made In Manchester award as part of our Local Exchange programme we co-created COLD CHIPS AND PICK N MIX, written by Sonia Jalaly. The piece was commissioned by the Cheetham Hill Ambassadors as part of the Den Festival at the Ukrainian Centre in 2022.

Congratulations to all the winners and here’s to making Manchester creative every year!
