A hilarious and heartfelt show that explores Northern masculinity and society through raucous interactive cabaret. #Performance
Four Northern lads are given the impossible task of rebuilding Northern masculinity in one night. Only one of them can become the BIG STRONG MAN and save the North. Which one? That’s up to you!
Surrealist comedy comrades, The Growth House, invite you for a night of Poundland level extravagance, side-splitting comedy and electrifying performances.
Featuring song, dance, improvisation, boyband parodies, lip syncs, karaoke and a bear, BIG STRONG MAN is an unforgettable alternative comedy night out.
The Growth House are also running a playful improvisation workshop, exploring connection, belonging, and community spirit on 9 August. Click here to find out more.
About The Growth House
DON’T GROW UP, GROW OUT
Our core focus is on socially-conscious art, with the purpose of uplifting and empowering our audiences. We create personal, passionate and experimental live events that are part protest, part party and all theatre.
A Growth House show is intimate, emotional and, for us, sweaty!
We are a collective of artists from the UK and around the world. Our collaborators include actors, dancers, singers, producers, beatboxers, painters, rappers, Muay Thai Boxers, business practitioners, yoga teachers, breath practitioners, clowns and video editors. Alongside creating new work we also run training programmes and workshops for professional performers looking to develop and deepen their own craft. Our belief is the best way to get to know someone is to work with them in a creative space, which is why our workshops provide artists with a unique networking opportunity.
These are Pay What You Can performances, suitable for everyone aged 16+.
These events are ticketed (see below for dates and times). If the event is sold out, please feel free to come along as we have several walk-up tickets available on the day.
