Looking for something free and creative to do over the summer holidays?
If you’re aged 13-18 and are connected to Leigh, Atherton or Tyldesley, then this is for you! Whether you love theatre or just want to try something new, we are bringing a group together to take part in a free week-long project about drama and theatre making. The group will create a new play from scratch under the expert guidance of director Julia Wilson and perform it on Saturday 9 August as part of Local Exchange Festival.
Applications open now!
The new play will be called Our Show but everything else is up to you!
When?
Monday 4 August – Friday 8 August from 10am – 4pm each day
Saturday 9 August – performance day (exact schedule for this day is TBC)
You must be available for all the dates.
Where?
The project (and Local Exchange Festival) is all taking place at Fred Longworth High School, Printshop Lane, Tyldesley, Manchester M29 8JN.
You don’t need to have done any performing or theatre making before!
Travel expenses available. Lunch will be provided.
If you are interested, please fill out this form by 12pm on 21 July.
We will be in touch to inform you if you have a place on the project shortly after the deadline.
