Skills Exchange is offering two FREE courses in Hospitality and Live Events Production Training for adults in Wigan, not currently in full-time employment.
The sign-up form is not a requirement to participation, if you are finding it difficult to fill it in, please simply turn up and a member of the team will help you with the form.

 - Have an allocated Support to Succeed keyworker, who will provide bespoke 1-to-1 support to reduce barriers to employment
 
We want everyone to have the opportunity to get involved, which is why we can offer support with any travel costs or access requirements you’d need in order to take part – just let us know on the form.
Eligibility – to take part in the course you must:
- Be aged 18+
 - Not currently be in Education, Employment or Training
 - Live in Wigan Borough
 - Have been a legal resident in the UK for at least 3 years
 - Have proof of age, address and residency in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
 - Be able to attend all sessions
 
Course 1: Hospitality
This course will run every Monday from 11am – 1pm for a total of 5 weeks. You must be able to attend every session.
The venue is The Sung, 67a Market St, Atherton, Manchester M46 0DA
You’ll develop your teamwork and customer service skills, gain a certificate in Food Hygiene, and gain hands-on experience working in a café.
The course dates are:
- Mon 17 Nov 11am – 1pm
 - Mon 24 Nov 11am – 1pm
 - Mon 1 Dec 11am – 1pm
 - Mon 8 Dec 11am – 1pm
 - Mon 15 Dec 11am – 1pm
 
Course 2: Live Events Production
This course will run every Monday from 2-4pm for a total of 5 weeks. You must be able to attend every session.
The venue is The Sung, 67a Market St, Atherton, Manchester M46 0DA
You will learn technical and production skills used in the creative industries, and gain a certificate in First Aid. Course elements will include lighting, sound, stage management and set building as well as practical skills development.
The course dates are:
